Appeal to the Subcarpathian Rusyns, who expressed their will in the referendum on December 1, 1991. Olena Rusin.

December 1, 1991, a regional referendum took place in Transcarpathia (according to the “Law on Referendum” of July 3, 1991, which provided for regional referendums, the results of which were taken into account necessarily), in which residents of the Region voted – 78% – for “Transcarpathia, as a special self-governing territory (i.e. more than autonomy, as a confederation), as a subject (of international law) within Independent Ukraine, and which cannot be part of other administrative-territorial entities.” Communist deputies in the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian Socialist Republic urgently turned into nationalists and grossly ignored the will of both the Ukrainian and the Rusyn people of Transkrapatye. Within 30 years, the new rulers brought the country into the ranks of the third world, from which more than 10 million people left. Did the Rusyns of Zakrapattya vote for Ukraine back then for such a result – 92.%. How and who can correct the mistake?
